A personal observation about the informational value of using Wikipedia.  A large part of the good is that the internal and external dialogue of what is useful/useless info invites continued dialogue.  The exchange of information existed long before the Internet.  The ills: unless you check references or if a page lacks references, the info loses value.  WikiP is an introduction to topics, not the full information, a “Reader’s Digest”-type consolidation of info, an information primer..  Following the citations back to their original sources – too many dead links should raise alarms.  Entries that make broad statements without references, alarm.  It is a gateway to more information, please always dig deeper.

            The Mehta Art Gallery uses Wikipedia as a go-to reference guide.  I fully support this!  Dialogues, not monologues, are essential for human emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth. Continue reading
